How it works

    Seller lists a plate

    Create a listing, add a real plate photo, and submit it for VPX review. Listing is free and publication is not a guaranteed sale.

    Buyer makes a private offer

    On eligible live listings, buyers can make a private offer. The seller can accept, counter, or decline. Offers are not public bids and do not guarantee a completed transfer.

  3. 3

    VPX coordinates next steps

    Once buyer and seller agree on price, VPX coordinates the transaction and provides state-specific transfer guidance. Government agencies make the final transfer-eligibility decision.
